WHAT ARE THE ASSOCIATED COSTS?
The registration fee of $650 for baseball, and $550 for softball includes organizational costs, insurance, two uniform sets, team use of the York Revolution indoor facility at People's Bank Park, $100 of raffle tickets that could be sold to reduce the registration fee and 8 vouchers to any 2022 York Revolution home game.
You must also participate in a mandatory organizational fundraiser.
Registration will be payable in monthly installments.

Teams will do fundraisers to cover additional costs such as equipment, practice field rentals, umpire fees, tournament costs, etc. The range of expenses varies greatly by each team, but to give you a “ballpark” idea, in the 2021 season our teams spent about $400-$850 per player to do about 7-9 tournaments.
In all cases, families must cover their own travel and hotel expenses.
In the event, for whatever reason, you decide no longer play for your team after you have accepted the invitation to play and/or have paid any or all your registration fee you will not be eligible for a refund of your registration fee as well as will not be entitled to any of the benefits noted above such as a two uniform sets, team use of the York Revolution indoor facility at People's Bank Park, and 8 vouchers to any 2023 York Revolution home game.
If you decide to no longer play after the receipt of your uniform sets you will be required to return them to the organization so that they might be used by another player to replace your position.
HOW FAR WILL I HAVE TO TRAVEL FOR TOURNAMENTS?
Each individual coach sets their team’s tournament schedule. Most tournaments are in the PA, MD, DE, and NJ areas, however, there are always exceptions. Last year we had teams travel to Rocky Mount, NC, and Cove Creek, VA….and some teams never ventured more than 2 hours from York County.
YORK YOUNG REVOLUTION IS A 501(C)(3), WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
York Young Revolution is a non-profit organization. All donations that are made to YYR are tax deductible as outlined by law. Our finances are maintained by an independent, professional accounting firm that provides complete transparency, and will make sure that all donations over $250 will receive the proper paperwork for the donator’s tax documents.
WHO MAKES UP THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS?
Our all-volunteer Board is comprised of parents and coaches, as well as seasoned professionals with no family ties to the organization. We have a CEO, a CPA, a sports medicine physician, and Business Owner (Visit our Board of Directors page to learn more about our Board.)
We all work together to promote baseball and softball in and around York County. It is our passion to provide a NOT-FOR-PROFIT place where young men and women can play the sport they love in a competitive, yet encouraging atmosphere. The Board is constantly looking to expand on the opportunities we provide for our athletes.
WHAT IS THE YOUNG REVOLUTION’S AFFILIATION WITH THE YORK REVOLUTION?
The York Young Revs and the York Revolution are two separate entities that work together in a close partnership to help promote the sport of baseball and softball in and around York County. The Revolution allows us to use their name, colors, and logo, as well as supporting YYR by hosting our Opening Day and End of Season festivities, and our Community Outreach project. The York Revolution will be hosting our Revolution Classic tournament, as well as providing off-season team access to the York Revolution cages at People's Bank Park.
General Manager of the Revolution, Eric Menzer, also sits on our Young Revs Board.
HOW DO THE SPONSORSHIPS WORK?
The York Young Revolution (YYR) is a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) in which donors make contributions to support its charitable mission, which is the development of youth baseball and softball for the participants of YYR.
Money is raised through corporate sponsorships, individual (including a parent) contributions, fundraising sales (i.e. pizza sales, sandwich sales, etc), small games of chance activities (using the YYR small games of chance license), and many others methods. Fundraising does not include the YYR player registration fees, which are used to cover the organizational expenses such as uniforms, insurance, operational costs, etc.
The funds raised in many cases are earmarked for a specific team. As such, these funds will be used to support team activities, including tournaments, practice facilities, and team equipment. Funds may not be used for travel expenses, and may not be earmarked for the benefit of a specific player. Any funds earmarked for a specific player will not be accepted and will be returned to the donor. Should a player leave YYR, they do not have any vested interest or right to a refund of any YYR funds including the funds earmarked for their team. These funds will continue to support the members of the team. Should the team no longer exist, the funds will be transferred to the YYR organization to support its charitable mission.
Please remember that all fundraisers for teams are split, where 85% goes to the team, and 15% goes to the organization to cover operational expenses.
