Radnor Stuns Nazareth in Thrilling Finish, Wins 8-3 to Advance to District Semis
Down 2 runs in the 7th inning, Radnor rallied to tie the game when Holly Pachella singled to drive in Brooke McClatchy and then with two outs Brooke Nicander was hit by a pitch to drive in Pachella. In the bottom of the 7th and facing the top of the Nazareth order, pitcher Nicander got two quick outs before allowing a single to the three hitter. The clean up hitter then smoked a double over McClatchy's head in center field, but Brooke ran it down, fired to shortstop Katie Jordan who then threw a strike in the air to catcher Holly Pachella who dove to apply the game saving tag out at home plate. Sparked by the defensive brilliance, Radnor exploded for 5 runs in the top of the 8th to clinch the victory.
