Kyle Povlock is a pitcher for RIT. In 2015, Kyle made 10 appearances on the mound, throwing 15 innings … went 2-0 with a 4.20 earned run average … threw a scoreless inning of relief in RIT’s season-opening 7-1 win over Houghton in his collegiate debut … picked up his first collegiate win, throwing three innings in relief, allowing just three hits and a run in RIT’s 7-6 win over Westminster … threw 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to earn the win, as RIT rallied to defeat Liberty League foe Clarkson, 7-5 … was head coach Rob Grow’s 400th career win at RIT … made his lone start, allowing a pair of unearned runs in three innings, leaving with the lead against St. John Fisher. Owen Gabbey (University of Rochester)
Owen Gabbey is an infielder/catcher for the University of Rochester. During the 2015 season, Gabbey appeared in nine games, making three starts for the Yellowjackets...Finished with a .118 average (2-17) with 3 RBI, 3 walks and a sacrifice fly. Andrew Shapiro (Corning Community College)
Andrew Shapiro, a Rochester, NY native, has decided to "come back home" after moving to Cooper City, Florida for his senior year of high school. Shapiro signed his NJCAA National Letter of Intent to attend Corning Community College in the Fall of 2015 and play for the Red Barons.
Throughout his life he has always played baseball at a high level. He is a switch hitting outfielder and accurate pitcher that features a two seam and four seam fastball, change up, knuckle curve and slider. Andrew will add depth to the Red Barons bullpen and be looked at as a utility player that can make an immediate impact.

Brian Hodges (Niagara County Community College)
Niagara County Community College baseball coach Matt Clingersmith will sign 22 student-athletes to an NJCAA National Letter of Intent at an event planned for Noon Jan. 31 in NCCC's H-Building Room No. 156.
Expected to sign with the Thunderwolves include: Loukas Bechakas (Williamsville North/ East Amherst), James Brnik (West Seneca East/ Cheektowaga), Nathan Chase (Webster Schroeder/ Webster), Zarley Cina (Huron Heights/Kitchener, Ont.), Kyle Crotty (Springville-Griffith/ Springville), Hayden Ewell (Pavilion/ Pavilion), Dylan Flasch (South Central/ Lloydminster, Alb.), Ryan Green (Penfield/ Rochester), Walker Green (Pioneer/ Arcade), Brian Hodges (LeRoy/ LeRoy), Jordan Hrynczak (Clarence/ Clarence), Joel Krywcun (Maryvale/ Cheektowaga), Alexander Licata (Lockport/ Lockport), Jaret Loran (South Central/ Acadia Valley, Alb.), Dave Lyskawa (Williamsville North/ East Amherst), Joe Milkowski (St. Francis/ Lackawanna), Chad Nelson (Jamestown/ Jamestown), Brandon Nicholson (Orchard Park/ West Seneca), Mitchell Racz (Grand Island/ Grand Island), Angelo Vilardo (Niagara-Wheatfield/ Niagara Falls), Cameron Voss (Fredonia/ Fredonia) and Kyle Waple (Lockport/ Lockport).

The Thunderwolves finished 31-15 last season before falling in the Region III Final Four. Since Clingersmith took over in 2007, NCCC has won the Region III championship and advanced to the NJCAA Division III World Series three times (2009, 2012, 2013).
