About the Soccer Program
Subscribe to our NewsletterWestview High School takes pride and strives for excellence in academics and athletics!
The Westview Boys Soccer (WVBS) Program provides an environment for student-athletes to develop character, discipline and respect, create lifelong friendships, and play a sport they love on behalf of their high school. The WVBS coaching staff is dedicated to the student-athletes success both on and off the athletic field.
The Poway Unified School District (PUSD) provides limited funding for athletic programs in the district. Many schools drop their freshman teams due to lack of financial support.
In order for the WVBS soccer program to continue and be successful, we rely on the donations from the student-athlete families, fundraising efforts and Westview Foundation. Every effort is made to keep the donation amount as low as possible and if 100% of student-athlete families donates this helps to keep the donation request amount low each year.
Through fundraising efforts, WVBS is able to help offset some of the expenses. We hope the student-athletes and their families will consider donating and assist in fundraising efforts. WVBS gladly accepts sponsorships on behalf of businesses.
WVBS is required to travel on school provided transportation (buses) to and from games. If donations are not provided by the student-athlete families, PUSD will invoice the WVBS for the expense.
Expenses incurred by the WVBS program include the following equipment, transportation, uniform and practice gear, trainers, tournament fees, coaches.
WVBS thanks all the student-athletes and their families for the continued support of the soccer program.
