FOLKS BOARD MEETING
5/13/21

Attendance:

1.       New members:

a.      Welcome Nadia Hunt as Trip Coordinator for 2022

                                                    i.     Amy will get her the folder of info from last year’s planning

2.                                                                  Seniors

a.      Banners have arrived and will be hung at home games

b.      Gifts at banquet

c.      Senior night will be Friday May 28^th (alternate date May 26^th if bad weather predicted)

                                                    i.     Flowers will need to be ordered

                                                   ii.     Pizza after the game

                                                  iii.     photographer

3.      Banquet

a.      Shadow lake, June 6, outdoors with tent, Varsity only

b.      FOLKS covers the cost of the Seniors

c.      $30 per person for all other attendees

d.      Amy will send out an announcement to the team, asking for RSVP’s.  Payment will be by Venmo, check in advance, or at the door.

4.      Apparel

a.      Amy has set up a link

b.      It will double as a fundraiser

c.      We need to post the link on the website and send it out to the teams

d.      The same link will stay live indefinitely

5.      Next meeting: Thursday, May 20, 6:00

a.      All parents will be invited

b.      Zoom—Amy to set up the link and send to all (Megan is not good at this part J)

1.       Discussion of filling open positions.  We will email the Varsity parents and try to solicit volunteers at games.

2.      Fundraising

a.      We will ask for a recommended donation of $75 per Varsity player

                                                    i.     Checks can be given to Morgan, made out to FOLKS

                                                   ii.     Venmo to Rafael-vidal-7

b.      Need to coordinate with Mendon Booster club re: JV and Modified combined teams

c.      Corporate Sponsors from 2020 season will be honored with banners for this year

                                                    i.     We will contact them to let them know; they will be invited to contribute again, but are not required to

3.      Seniors

c.      Senior night will be the last home game of the season

4.      Roster

a.      Molly will design a roster with player names, numbers and headshots.  She will contact Orlando to take the pictures, and she will laminate it.  We will consider putting sponsor logos on the laminated rosters next year.

5.      Banquet

a.      Shadow lake, outdoors with tent

b.      Raf will call to check availability; possible date is June 13.  We think Sectionals ends June
