COLLINS IN PIAA CONSOLATIONS
Adam Collins swam a 54.83 to qualify for the consolation finals at the PIAA Meet. In the consolation finals, Adam swam a 53.70 for a 10th place finish. Congratulations to Adam!!
RELAY TEAM IN PIAA FINALS
The Mustang Medley Relay of Adam,Steve,Chris,& Dave qualified for the finals at the PIAA Meet with a 1:41.33. In the finals, the Mustangs finished 8th with a 1:42.31. Congratulations!!!!

Theo Skoric placed 6th at the WPIAL AA Diving Championships and qualified for the PIAA meet at Bucknell.
RECORD FALLS IN TRI-MEET
Emily Yarish assured that her name would remain in the LH Record Book by lowering her own 200 IM record. With a 2:12.68 swim in the tri-meet against Connellsville & Uniontown, she lowered her 2:14.41 mark that she previously established last year in the section meet at EF. Congratulations Emily!!!!

RECORD FALLS IN OPENING MEET
Lexi Kostelnik wasted no time in adding her name to the LH Record Book by shattering the 500 free record. After a 5:19.65 swim in the season opening meet against Connellsville, she dropped the record again against Mt. Pleasant with a 5:09.18 swim. Lexi lowered the 5:29.48 mark previously established by Angela Nepa on 1/7/2008 in a dual meet with Greensburg Salem. Congratulations Lexi!!!!

NEW POOL RECORDS 2015-2016
Brandon Thomas opened the 15/16 season by lowering the New Culley Pool Record in the Boy's 200 IM. He lowered his own record set last year with a 2:04.04.
At the BVA Meet on 12/15/15, Brandon Thomas lowered the Boy's 100 fly New Culley Pool Record with a 53.73.
Emily Zimcosky of Giebel lowered the Girl's 100 free New Culley Pool Record with 53.28 on 12/15/15.
At the Indiana Meet on 12/17/15, Brandon Thomas lowered the Boy's 200 freestyle New Culley Pool Record with a 1:49.20.
Several New Culley Pool Records fell at the Penn Trafford Meet on 1/14/16 including LH's Logan Knoyer in the 100 free (49.44), LH's Brandon Thomas in the 500 free (5:08.29), PT's Zach Snelling in the 100 back (56.82), PT's Noah Babik in the 100 breast (1:02.91), PT's Joey Ference in the 1 meter diving (351.10), LH's Brandon Thomas, Jacob Johnson, Luke Edmunds, & Logan Knoyer in the 400 free relay (3:25.36), and PT's Zach Snelling, Noah Babik, John Sandala, & Noah Gasparro in the 200 medley relay (1:43.17).
Brandon Thomas lowered the 200 IM pool record at the Armstrong meet with a 2:03.26.
During the Latrobe Meet, three pool records fell including Taylor Miller of Latrobe in the girls 1 meter diving at 309.83, Logan Knoyer in the boys 100 free at 49.21, and Lexi Kostelnik in the girls 200 IM at 2:16.35.
During the Canon-McMillan meet, Brittany Byer lowered the 100 back pool record to 1:00.55.
During the Mt. Pleasant meet, Emily Zimcosky lowered her Culley pool record to 24.35 & the LH Boys 200 free relay of Logan Knoyer, Jacob Johnson, Luke Edmonds, & Brandon Thomas, lowered the Culley pool record to 1:32.19.
At the final meet of the season with Connellsville, more pool records fell including LH's Brandon Thomas lowering his 200 free mark to 1:48.71, Connellsville's Tatum Detweiler with a 2:09.52 in the 200 IM, LH's Logan Knower with a 49.20 in the 100 free, Lexi Kostelnik with a 5:07.66 in the 500 free, AG's Caleb Dankle with a 5:06.18 in the 500 free, LH's 200 free relay of Logan, Jacob, Luke, & Brandon with a 1:31.93, Tatum Detweiler in the 100 backstroke with a 1:00.26, & LH's 400 free relay of Logan, Luke, Cole, & Brandon with a 3:20.50.

John Ek repeated his silver medal diving performance from 2016 scoring 426.15 on his 11 dives and finishing only .90 behind WPIAL Champion Trevor Mahoney of South Fayette.
Joining EK in qualifying for the PIAA Championships at Bucknell will be Dylan Rice who brought home a 4th place medal with a score of 286.30.

<b><u>POOL & TEAM RECORDS 2016-2017</b></u>
Brandon Thomas opened the season with a New Culley Pool Record in the 500 free with a 5:02.27.
Brandon Thomas set two New Culley records against Greensburg-Salem with a 52.67 in the 100 fly (lowering his own prior record) and a 56.25 in the 100 back (lowering a record of 56.82 by Zack Snelling of Penn Trafford on 1/14/16)
The Hempfield boys enjoyed the water of the New Culley Natatorium on 2/6/17 by lowering few pool records including Zane Wilson, Todd Wilson, Zach Rulli, & Gavin Mayo with a 1:41.36 in the 200 medley relay, Zack Rulli with a 1:47.08 in the 200 free, & Gavin Mayo with a 21.97 in the 50 free. The prior records belonged to Penn Trafford in the 200 medley relay, Brandon Thomas in the 200 free, & Logan Knoyer in the 50 free.
Also in the Hempfield meet, Brandon Thomas lowered his own pool record in the 200 IM with a swim of 2:02.31.
Norwin's Girl's 400 Free Relay of Allie Plassio, Kristy Juart, Courtney Kosanovic, & Shelby Yusko lowered the New Culley Pool Record with a swim of 3:52.69 on 2/9/17.
Brandon Thomas closed out his final swim at the New Culley by lowering two pool records with a 52.29 in the 100 fly and a 1:02.34 in the 100 breaststroke.
John Ek set a new team record in 6 dive, I meter diving at Connellsville on 2/17/17 by scoring a 301.05. The old record was a 294.9 set by Theo Skoric.

RECORD FALLS IN TRI-MEET
Emily Yarish assured that her name would remain in the LH Record Book by lowering her own 200 IM record. With a 2:12.68 swim in the tri-meet against Connellsville & Uniontown, she lowered her 2:14.41 mark that she previously established last year in the section meet at EF. Congratulations Emily!!!!

RECORD FALLS IN OPENING MEET
Lexi Kostelnik wasted no time in adding her name to the LH Record Book by shattering the 500 free record. After a 5:19.65 swim in the season opening meet against Connellsville, she dropped the record again against Mt. Pleasant with a 5:09.18 swim. Lexi lowered the 5:29.48 mark previously established by Angela Nepa on 1/7/2008 in a dual meet with Greensburg Salem. Congratulations Lexi!!!!

On 2/1/18, at the Latrobe meet, the LH relay team of Maria Mrosko, jenna Roscoe, Gwyneth Hamilton, & Rachel Roscoe set a New Culley Pool record with a swim of 3:52.67, lowering the old record of 3:52.69 set by Norwin on 2/9/17.
On 1/30/18, Maria Mrosko tied Emily Yarish's 200 IM Team Record with a swim of 2:12.18 at EF.
On 1/11/18, Joshua Madzy of Kiski area lowered the New Culley Record for the Boy's 100 backstroke with a swim of 54.02. Congratulations to Joshua!!

On 12/12/19, at Thomas Jefferson, Maria Mrosko lowered her LH Team Record in the 100 fly with a swim of 59.34. On 1/17/20, Maria lowered her New Culley Pool Record in the 100 fly with a swim of 59.36. On 1/29/20 versus Indiana, Maria lowered her Team & Pool records with a 59.02 swim.
On 1/2/20, Alexis Schrecongost of Freeport lowered the New Culley Pool Record in the 100 breast with a swim of 1:08.24.
