A message from Ed Pinder...

In addition to the extreme honor of the field dedication next Saturday, I know my family is also extremely proud of the decision by the Parkville Rec Council to establish the Ed Pinder Softball Scholarship Fund. Having coached at all age levels, I always thought that one of the biggest compliments to our program was when a high school junior or senior drove themselves to the rec practices and games. Some came right from their JV or varsity practices; others came because they just enjoyed playing softball. I know if our program was not fun, they would not have shown up. We wanted this scholarship to recognize the "Love of the Game" which I always tried to instill. I can't think of a better legacy.
