CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Duke’s track and field team posted strong performances in day one of the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, Va., Friday afternoon, both on the track and in the field.
Freshman Madeline Kopp continues to impress during her first season with Duke’s track and field team. The rookie improved on her own school record time at 400 meters on Friday, registering a time of 53.79 and placing fifth overall. The Rochester, N.Y., native’s previous personal-best of 54.08 stood as the school record leading up to Friday’s contest.
Former Spencerport Grad and Rochester Running Rebels Madeline Kopp breaks school record in the 400m with a time of 54.07. She also ran a 24.53 in the 200m dash.
