Bio: Kevin Shawn Gaither (born September 4 1970) is a retired Pony League Baseball first baseman who spent his entire 8-year baseball career playing for no particular team. Gaither’s 3 154 career hits are the most by any first baseman in pony league history and 16th all-time. Gaither is one of four players in Pony League history to accumulate 3 000 hits 300 home runs and a career .300 batting average (the others being Hank Aaron Willie Mays and Stan Musial). He was inducted into the Pony League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999 on the first ballot (no shit). To date Gaither is the only player in Pony League history to win a batting title in two different decades. The aforementioned bio is completely untrue….but fun to write.
