The Division I team includes current 7th and 8th graders. Participants will learn boys' rules lacrosse. Girls* are welcome, and have participated with great success at this level playing alongside the boys. Some have reported it is a good transition and compliment to the girl's game (although the girl's version of lacrosse is distinctly different).
Lacrosse stick and all protective equipment are required: Helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, arm/elbow pads, mouthpiece, and cup. Limited stick checking will be coached, however, body checking and excessive stick checks will not be part of this program.
*Girls are allowed to participate with the understanding that (unlike girls lacrosse) boys lacrosse involves some contact and additional protective equipment (helmet, shoulder/chest pads, arm pads, gloves, etc) is required.
