For the safety of the children, the USR Mayor and Council have adopted a new ordinance requiring a background check of all volunteer coaches. All individuals 18 years or older must be fingerprinted and permit a background check as a prerequiste to becoming a volunteer.

Reservations to be fingerprinted can be made at https://www.identogo.com/locations/new-jersey  The IdentoG MorphoTrust USA Fingerprint FORM must be completed in advance and a reservation is required to be fingerprinted.

Fingerprinting is completed at a cost of $24.20 by MorphoTrust USA, a security agency with many locations locally in New Jersey.

The cost of the background check must be paid by the volunteer.

Fingerprinting Background checks must be completed at 3 weeks before the season starts. All coaches must take THIS background check. Past background checks, for any other reason (professional license, gun permit, etc.), will not be acceptable. We have no access to any past background checks.

Please make sure you use the ORI # for Youth Service Organization (NJ920610Z). DO NOT USE USR POLICE DEPT.

Background checks are good for 3 years. The background check will be sent to the USR Police Department.

Individuals who do not pass the background check will be notified and have an appeal right as set forth by the ordinance.

All information will be kept confidential by the USR Police Dept.
