In 2007-2008, St. Rose got shut out 13 times, including one stretch where we were ten-goaled AND shutout five times in a six-game stretch, outscored 59-1. These were the years that built our character. Eleven man rosters were the norm.
The following year saw the entrance of the five freshman who would turn the program around. Billy Regan and Christian Phipps, who went on to become the all-time scoring leaders in school history, Donny Duddy and Luke Mazur, who became the leading scorers for the defensive positions, and goalie Ray McGirr, the all-time saves leader, wins leader, and shutout leader in school history.
J.P. O'Malley joined them in 2009-2010, and Ian McGirr and J.P. Regan came along in 2010-2011. Ryan O'Malley, and Dean Mazur followed to complete the "Band of Brothers".
In that 2011-2012 season "The Band of Brothers" recorded our best season record to date, 18 wins, 6 losses, and 2 ties.
