*** 2015 NFCA NATIONAL TRAVEL BALL COACHING STAFF OF THE YEAR ***
*** Special Announcement ***
Tampa Mustangs-TJ 18U just finished playing their last season together. Most of the players will be entering college in the Fall and the remaining 2017 graduates will be playing with other organizations in the Fall and next Summer. This team started in Dec. 2006 as the Suncoast Storm 98 and evolved to the Tampa Mustangs-TJ team in 2012 to compete at the national level. Since then, they have had consistent top 5 finishes at the top events across the country including:
2013 - Scenic City - 3rd place
2013 - ASA National Runner-Up
2014 - IDT - 3rd Place
2014 - ASA - National Runner-Up
2015 - IDT - 5th place
2015 - Triple Crown SE Nationals - 3rd Place
2015 - PGF 16U Premier NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
2016 - Team NJ Classic - CHAMPIONS
2016 - Demarini/Bandits Invite - 5th Place
2016 - PGF - 17th place
They were known as the team that never quit. The team that will always find a way to win. And they did that at the highest level more than any other team in Florida , and maybe the Southeast over the past few years. They have players that will play in the SEC, ACC, PAC 12, Big Ten, AAC , etc. They are quite possibly the Greatest Florida Travel Ball Team of All-Time! They will be missed greatly and we wish them all continued success on and off the field.
They focused, they executed. They were The Mustangs. They played with power and energy. They were the Mustangs. They respected their parents, their teammates, their coaches, their school, their communities and themselves. That team was only as strong as all of them. They expected excellence and they got better.
