Southern Utah’s Aaron Cantu, the former Schurr High School and East L.A. College standout, has been named the FCS National Quarterback of the Week by College Football Performance Awards for his play against Fort Lewis.

The East L.A. native completed 15 of 16 passes for 136 yards and four touchdowns in a 49-0 victory Saturday. The junior had a quarterback efficiency rating of 247.65.

Cantu and Southern Utah play at Washington State Saturday.
