INIS FADA MEMBER MAKES A HOLE IN ONE
Congratulations to Don Webster as he made a Hole in One on the 14th hole par 3, 130 yards at Mill Pond Golf Course. Don played his normal 7 iron dropped it perfectly on the green and it rollwed into the hole. For Don it was his second career hole in one and came after being on a 5 week injury list.

INTERCLUB MATCH 08/25/22
On 08/25/22 a team of Inis Fada Members played an Inter Club match against the Shamrock Club at Pine Hills. Unfortunately Inis Fada did not fare too well as the Shamrocks defeated Inis Fada 6 matches to 4.
A good time was had by all. Inis Fada is looking forward to a rematch next year.
EGGY KANE MAKES AN EAGLE 3 @ PINE HILLS
On 08/25/22, Eggy Kane made an Eagle 3 on the Par 5 15th hole at Pine Hills during the Inter Club match versus the Shamrocks. Eggy hit an incredible drive of 300 yds over a weeping willow tree and a pond on the dogleg left 15th hole. He hit a rescue club for his second shot which landed 30 ft from the pin. He was able to sink the 30 foot right to left putt for an eagle 3. Nice going eggy!!! Above is a picture of Eggy describing the hole to the group.
JONATHAN O'SULLIVAN MAKES AN EAGLE 3 @ WIND WATCH
On 08/24/22, Jonathan O'Sullivan made an Eagle 3 on the Par 5 10th hole at Wind Watch. Jonathan hit an incredible seond shot to within 18 inches for an easty tap eagle 3. It also should be noted that Jonathan won the memorial tournament with a stableford score of 38. Nice going Jonathan. Above is a picture of Jonathn displying the Inis Fada Memorial Trophy.
PHIL MENDOLIA MAKES AN EAGLE 3 @ MIDDLE ISLAND
On 07/27/22, Phil Mendolia made and Eagle 3 on the Par 5 3rd hole of the Spruce at Middle Island. Phil snaked in a 40 foot chip shot for a eagle 3! Nice going Phil!!
PHIL MENDOLIA TAKES DOWN A CHAMPION
On 07/20/22 @ Willow Creek Phil Mendolia took down 12 time Champ John Gannon in a Quarter Final Scratch match at Willow Creek. The Match which was tied after the first 18 holes was final decided on the 36 hole as Phil won 1 up. Congratulations Phil on your monumental feat as John had won an unprecedented 49 consecutive matches.

JOHN CROFTON SHOOTS A INIS FADA RECORD NET 57
Congratulations to John Crofton as he shot a super 79 net 57 at Middle Island on 06/05/2019. John set a new course record at Middle Island. The net 57 also ties or second of the all time Inis Fada low net score. Congratulation John!! Below John looking to improve his game testing new putters:
FRED MORABITO MAKES AN EAGLE 2 @ WIND WATCH
Fred Morabito make a fantastic eagle 2 on the 3rd hole at Wind Watch on 05/19/19. Fred hit a high arcing 9 iron from 128 yds. The ball dropped after 2 bounces and a roll. Nice going Freddy.
INIS FADA MEMBER MAKES A HOLE IN ONE IN OCEAN CITY
Congratulations are in order for DICK BEEKMAN who made a Hole in One on the 16th Hole 130 yard, Par 3 at River Run Golf Course in Ocean City. It was Dick 2nd career Hole in One but he was able to see this one trickle into the hole. Below an elated Dick back at the Hotel buying drinks:
INIS FADA MEMBERS 1ST AND 2ND IN MGA PLAY DAY AT HARBOR LINKS
Cliff Sommer was the top golfer with 40 points in the Stableford Scoring System at Harbor Links at the MGA Play Day on 08/20/18. Coming in second place was Jim Carney with 39 points. There were 92 players in the event. Congratulations Cliff and Jim.

Carl Gandolfo made an eagle 3 on the 1oth hole at Mill Pond way back on May 17th, 2017. Below is a pic of Carl retrieving his ball. Nice going Carl.
INIS FADA MEMBER SHOOTS AN INCREDIABE NET 54
It was brought to my attention that back on 07/27/2005 ALAN MANZ shot an incredible net 54 AT Rock Hill. To reward this feat Alan received the below crystal along with an attesting from his playing partners
INIS FADA MEMBERS PLAY GOLF IN ALL 50 STATES circa 2007
’m not sure if everyone knows but 15 years ago two members of Inis Fada members accomplished an extraordinary feat by playing a round of golf in each State in the United States. Joe Dimaggio and Tom Nodell began the golf Odyssey on June 8, 2003 @ Barefoot Landing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and completed the trek on August 11, 2007 @ Eagleglen Golf Course at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska.

Recently 3 of our members played in a MGA Spondsered play day at Spring Lake and had a great time. As a special treat Mike Mcloskey, Paul Hersh and Jeff Arist posed with the famous US Open Trophy.
What Tees Should You Play
Here is an interesting formula from the golf channel to help decide what tees to Play
Yardage you hit a 7 iron times 18
Yardage your average drive times by 14
Add numbers together and that is the distance you should play:
Average 7 iron 135 x 18 = 2330
Average drive 220 X 14 = 3080
Course Yardgae 5410

Congratulations are in order for John Cofton who made an eagle 2 on the 2nd hole of the Spruce on Wednesday 08/02/17. John holed his pitching wedge shot from 70 yards for a super eagle 2. NICE GOING JOHN!!!!
Congratulations Fred Morabito
Congrats are in order for Fred Morabito as he shot an incredible Net 58 Gross 87 at Wind Watch on 07/26/17. That is the second lowest net score recorded at a Inis Fada Tournament. Way to go Fred. Let's see if he can duplicate that next week at Middle Island.

Congratulations to Mike Carpentiere as he had a tap in eagle on number 10 at Wind Watch on 05/17/17. Mike put his second shot on the par 5 to within 1 foot for an easy eagle. Nice Shooting Mike.

Congratulations to Bobby Aaron as he made an eagle 2 on the Par 4; 17th Hole at Mill Pond when he holed is 8 iron shot from the fairway on 05/10/17. Nice going Bob-a-Loo!

Congratulations to Ed McCloskey who in 2016 completed 40 years of officiating High School Football in Suffolk County. Ed plans on continuing his officiating career a few more years.

INIS FADA MEMBER MAKES AN ALBATROSS
On 08/10/2016 John Gannon made an incredible double eagle 2 (Albatross) on the Par 5 3rd hole at Mill Pond on 08/10/16. John hit an incredible drive and than holed his 5 iron shot from 189 yards out for the 2! Great job John!
INIS FADA MEMBER GETS A HOLE IN ONE
Congratulations to our handicap chairman Chris Marinis for getting a HOLE IN ONE down in Florida over the winter of 2016. Chris as he does every year was working on his game in Florida when he scored his ace, which by the way is his second life time hole in one! I believe Chris hit a 6 ion to the 150 yard hole. Congratulations Chris!!
On the subject of Hole in Ones the Club pays any member $100 if they get a hole in one during a club tournament only. To date nobody remembers the last hole in one made during a club event. We believe its been over 12 years.
