David Arriaga ran for two touchdowns and passed to his brother Daniel for another as Roosevelt High School rolled to a 35-19 victory over South Gate Friday in an Eastern League football game.

The Rough Riders improved to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in league. South Gate fell to 4-3 and 2-1.

They built a 35-13 lead by halftime on the strength of big plays from the Arriagas.

David had a pair of 30-yarders that were sandwiched around a 90-yard kickoff return for a TD by South Gate’s Lavell Thompson.

Daniel had a 20-yard run, an 80-yard kickoff return and 45-yard pass reception to account for his three scores.

Andrew Toro threw 55- and 45-yard scoring passes to Alexander Flatos for the Rams.

Bell 35, Jordan 20

Redani Diaz passed for three TDs and Matthew Perez carried 30 times for 166 yards as Bell (3-4, 1-2) posted its first Eastern League win at the expense of Jordan (0-7, 0-3).

Diaz went 6 for 11 for 103 yards and connected with Christian Chavez on a 50-yarder, Andrew Alderete on a 35-yarder and Rudy Lucero on a six-yarder for TDs.

Julian Vasquez keyed the defense with six tackles and 2.0 sacks.

Northern League

Lincoln 23, Marshall 7

Gilbert Soto had a pair of scoring passes to lead Lincoln (5-1, 1-0) past Marshall (2-4, 0-1) in the Northern League opener.

Soto’s TD passes were a 13-yarder to Dakota Ridgeway and a 32-yarder to Jose Bautista.

The Tigers also had a safety and a 23-yard scoring run by Maximo Carlos.

Marshall’s TD was on a 32-yard pass from James Carcamo to Kijana Embry in the third quarter.

Wilson 34, Sotomayor 14

Chris Perez and Jerry Hernandez had scoring runs and Elijah Collins returned the second-half kickoff 85 yards for a TD as Wilson (6-0, 1-0) rolled past Sotomayor (1-5) in the Northern League.

Edward Garcia added a defensive TD for the Mules.

Chase Keough scored on runs of one and 20 yards in the fourth quarter for Sotomayor.
