The Los Angeles Department of Transportation has announced a new set of future bike lanes that are part of a plan to make L.A. more bike-friendly.

The new lanes a part of year two of a five-year plan. The plan is to add more bike lanes and bike paths to connect with existing lanes, creating a massive interconnected web of bike-friendly areas, according to theLADOT Bike Blog. When the plan is complete, 200 miles of bike lanes will be completed.

This new batch features 21 new lanes that add up to about 40 miles. There will be some set up On Hollywood Blvd, between La Brea and Sunset/Virgil; a huge lane on Parthenia between Kester and Topanga Canyon that stretches for more than eight miles; and Soto St. between 8th and Huntington, among many others.
