Week 1 was a mix of blowouts and close games.  Thank you for everyone that made the trip to Lexington and the long haul to Cedar Creek to watch our youth compete with some very good teams.  Thank you to all of our Cheerleaders this weekend for providing us with enthusiasm and entertainment.  

Flag Teams-

The Rockdale Blue team won outright against Cedar Creek.  Rockdale's speed and athleticism won the game with long touchdown runs and a quick defense always ready to stop the opponent in the backfield.  Blue win: 34-0

The Rockdale Gold team faced a tough test against a very good Lexington Green team.  Despite their best efforts, they fell to Lexington: 12-38 

JV Tigers-

Rockdale JV dominated the line of scrimmage on offense and defense.  The Tigers ran the ball at will and prevented Cedar Creek from getting any kind of offense going.  Rockdale took the win: 41-0

Varsity Tigers-

Rockdale Varsity won a game that wasn't as close as the final score indicated.  The Tigers led in time of possession and overall yards, but several penalties brought back Tiger touchdowns and made the game a defensive battle.  Tigers won: 7-0
