OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP:
Two storied franchises who are charter members of the league which dates back to 1949 will begin a best-of-three Championship series on Thursday, 14 July 2016. The league's format has the regular season champion versus the playoff champion in a best of three series to determine the overall league champion and determine the team that represents the league at the Eastern Regional at Swoyersville which begins July 23.
Fredericksburg which finished 1st in the regular season with a 15 - 5 league record will host Jonestown who won the post-season double elimination playoff with a 3 - 1 record, on Thursday at Earl Wenger Stadium at 7 pm. The series moves to Jonestown with a 5:45 pm start on Friday. The deciding game, if needed, will be held back at Earl Wenger Stadium on Saturday.
In the regular season Jonestown finished second with a 14 - 6 league record. Fredericksburg is the defending league champion with 11 total championships to its name. Jonestown leads the league table with 16 total titles with the most recent coming in 2013 and 2014.
Fredericksburg is managed by Issy Ollar and Jonestown by Kerry McQuate.
Four eastern regional teams which win their respective tournaments among 32 top teams and three teams from the western part of the state, as well as the host team will commence the state tournament on July 30th. Spring City is the defending state title holder.
Youth Legion Baseball, is by far the largest baseball organization by number of teams and counties involved, in the state of Pennsylvania, for boys and girls ages 13 to 16.

Playoffs:
Coin toss was conducted by Ed Spittle and Skip Wolf over the telephone at 8:30 am Wednesday to seed Palmyra and Myerstown who finished tied in the standings and were 2-2 in head-to-head games.
