The seeding committee for the NJSIAA Tournament met Tuesday morning and announced the first round pairings for the Public A, Public B and Non-Public New Jersey State Tournaments - including 18 representatives from the Shore Conference - as well as announcing a site change for the 2016-17 state finals.
Since 1998, the New Jersey Devils have played host to the NJSIAA Hockey Finals at both Continental Airlines Arena (1998-2006) and the Prudential Center (2008-2016), save for the 2007 season when a reschedule forced the semifinals to be held at the Meadowlands (March 17), before the title games were played a week later at Mennen Arena.

Because of a "scheduling conflict," - though not a Devils game nor another event on the arena's schedule - Mennen Arena in Morris Township will once again be the site of the March 6 championship games.
According to the NJSIAA the only time slots available at the Prudential Center for the finals were 9:30 p.m. March 5. a Sunday, and the following morning at 9and 11 a.m.
The top-ranked public school at the Shore, Middletown South, received the third-seed in the Public B bracket, while Freehold Township was placed sixth in the Public A bracket, the highest seed among local clubs. CBA received the fourth-seed in the Non-Public bracket.
Below you can find the complete seedings and opening-round pairings as well as a state tournament schedule, sites and times.
