The Billings Force proved that they are a "force" to be reckoned with while claiming all three division titles (10U, 12U, and 14U) at the 2017 Heart Mountain Classic this past weekend in Cody. A total of 24 teams participated in the tournament from all over Montana and Wyoming.
All three (3) Cody Pride teams logged wins in pool play on Saturday. The Pride 12U girls finished undefeated in pool play finishing 3-0 with a first round buy going into the playoffs on Sunday. Unfortunately, Pride was not able to get anything going on Sunday will all three Pride teams losing in the first round of the playoffs. Cody Pride 10U lost a hard fought game against the Rock Springs Storm 10U-Seibel by a score of 10-8 on Sunday morning. Cody Pride 12U fell to the Billings Bombers 12U-Collier by a score of 14-6 after beating the same team on Friday night in pool play. The Cody Pride 14U girls were defeated by the Gillette Blue Jays 14U by a score of 17-4.
The Pride teams picked up some good experience against some tough competition over the weekend. This experience will serve them well as they travel to other regional tournaments in the coming weeks. The Pride 12U and 14U teams will be in Gillette over the Memorial Day weekend playing in the Battle for the High Plains Tournament.
