1. 2nd grade – This is our teaching level for first time basketball players. At this level we run drills teaching dribbling, passing and shooting. We use games to practice what they have learned in a fun environment. Depending on the number of boys registered, we divide this group into two teams. Each team will meet once a week at the Community Center from 7:15 – 8:15pm on Wednesday or Thursday.
2. Freshmen Division – This division is comprised of 3rd and 4th graders. In the past this division is comprised of six- eight teams. Practices are one hour on Monday or Tuesday starting at 6pm and ending at 9pm at one of Fort Lee’s elementary schools. One game each week is played at the Community Center or Fort Lee Middle School on Wednesdays or Thursdays from 6pm to 9pm. We use the games as a teaching tool. As the game is played, if the referee or coaches see players making mistakes, they will be instructed on the proper methods of play.
