Mason Dixon Public School Showcase was formed to provide public school lacrosse players in both regions an opportunity to showcase their skills, utilizing a tryout and selection process, hosted specifically for the public school lacrosse player. As many of you are aware public school lacrosse players are frequently overlooked and or discounted by current known event platforms of similar structure for the sole reason they attend a public and not a private school. This event is specifically designed to provide opportunities to public school players and over time our hope is we can offset that perception.

Over the past 35 years the game of lacrosse has grown immensely, the ratios for the number of high school players (public and private) participating in sanctioned high school lacrosse compared to the number of available NCAA roster spots is as great as it has been in the history of the sport. Great ratio’s for the NCAA coaching community, although for players who are striving to play at the next level, those ratios can be daunting. Players need to explore additional platforms to enhance the level of NCAA exposure at events like Mason Dixon and for public school players an event platform specifically tailored to them.

Registration for tryouts is open, tryouts will be in April and May with dates, times and places to be confirmed soon. Tryouts will include a tryout pinnie and two 90 minute fast paced instructional tryout/clinics. Go to the registration tab  on the welcome page or www.masondixonshowcase.com to register.
