PARENT REACTIONS
- " Thanks for everything...Ty said on the way home tonight that he learned more this season then football, he said he learned how to be more of a man. And then he said "my team and teammates, we don't give up when we are losing, coach taught us that...Thank you for that you guys should be proud of what you have instilled this season"
- " Over the past 5-6 years, I, like so many other player parents, have put a lot of time, money and heart into Bearden youth football. And I am so very proud of these boys and what you all have accomplished this season. A lot of us have been rooting for these boys since they were 7 & 8 years old. And although some seasons have been better than others statistically, I don't think any of them produced the growth and team strength that this one did. In all these years, they have never played a game with the heart of a lion, like they did against Farragut"
- "I have to share something with you...My son loves being a part of this program as a first time football player. He was sick this week and had to miss some practices. This is the first time in many years/seasons of baseball, basketball, flag football, soccer etc that he was genuinely sad and mad about having to miss PRACTICE!! He was beyond excited to be better and back for last nights game. It affirms for me what I have seen at practices and at the games...You guys as coaches have done an excellent job of melding this group together as a unified TEAM these last couple of months...Although my son is one of the youngest and smallest d-lineman and in 7th grade...He is already excited about being a second year player in the program next season. He is a proud member of BCF and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience and am proud that he's a part of what you guys are doing"
- " I wasn't sure what we were getting into when we signed up to play football, but I knew that my son had a lot of anger and needed a healthy outlet. Football became the biggest blessing to my son's life. After an incredibly emotional year as a family, he found stability. He found coaches that loved him like their own, who celebrated his strengths and built on his weaknesses. They taught him so much more than the game. He was taught life lessons to carry with him and learned more about being an upstanding young man. His team quickly became like a family who pushed him to excel both physically and mentally, on and off the field. His grades improved, his self-worth improved and his outlook on life improved. I have two younger sons who will definitely be Bulldogs. I know I'll be putting them in good hands. I'm a Bearden Football Momma for life now"
