Awarded State-Wide Blewett Wrestling Scholarships

For the twelfth year in a row Alexander (Zander) Blewett, III, a trial lawyer from the personal injury law firm of Hoyt & Blewett PLLC in Great Falls, Montana, has offered three $1,000 scholarships to the top student/wrestlers around the state of Montana for Classes "AA", "A", and "B/C".

The scholarships are awarded to the top wrestler from each school classification who has displayed the best combined qualities of wrestling and academic achievement.  This year's winners exemplify the precise purpose of the scholarships.

All of the student-athletes maintained high grade point averages and wrestled at a high level.

"It's great to see kids excel both on the mats and in the classroom," said Zander Blewett. "As a state champ who nearly aced the ACT, Tucker Nadeau was one of the most well rounded recipients to ever receive this scholarship.  With his credentials, he could write his own ticket to virtually any school in the country."

The winners are as follows:

The winner in Class "AA" is Tucker Nadeau of Flathead High School.  Nadeau was a state champion his senior year and placed 3rd and 5th at state his junior and sophomore years.  He is also the winner of the Tri-State Best of the West Invite Northwest Classic and Rocky Mountain Classic.  He also earned a 4.0 GPA, scored a 35 on his ACT and was a National Merit Scholar.  He will wrestle at the University of West Virginia where he plans to enter the World Languages Program and study Spanish and Arabic.

Ben Windauer of Columbia Falls High School is the winner of the Class "A" scholarship. Windauer was a state champion his senior year and placed 2nd and 3rd at state his junior and sophomore years.  He also earned a 4.0 GPA.  Windauer will attend Montana Tech where he will study engineering.

Nathan Weber of Forsyth High School is the Class "B/C" winner.  Weber was a two-time state champion and a two-time 2nd place winner at the state wrestling tournament.  Weber will attend Montana State University Northern where he will wrestle alongside his brothers Brandon and Matt who both placed second at last year's NAIA National Wrestling Championships.

"We love wrestling for the life lessons it teaches and these kids embody what this great sport is all about," said Blewett.
