The Merchants went 1-1 on the first day of the ND State Amateur baseball tournament in Jamestown.  They rallied for a 2-1 win over Mayville then dropped a game 6-1 to the Elks.  That put them in the semi-finals versus the Elks on Sunday but the rains came and the field was a lake.  The final day has been postponed twice, Sunday, Aug. 26th was also rained out so the championship will be played on Wednesday, Aug. 29th, Merchants vs. Mayville.
