DeRozan, Johnson, and LiL' Romeo Commit to USC


As I mentioned before in a previous post, there were rumors flying around all week about Demar DeRozan committing to SC. Those rumors came to fruition (and then some) today as DeRozan made his commitment to the Trojans along with 4-star PG Angelo Johnson from Stoneridge Prep and Percy Miller aka LiL' Romeo (aka Master P's son).

So where does that leave us with Brandon Jennings? Doing some quick scholarship math I count 14 players for 2008:

Kyle Austin, RouSean Cromwell, Kasey Cunningham, Taj Gibson, Dwight Lewis, Keith Wilkinson, Davon Jefferson, Mamadou Diarra, Leonard Washington, Marcus Simmons, Malik Story, Demar DeRozan, Angelo Johnson, and Percy Miller.

*Hackett isn't on scholarship so he was purposely left off the list. Also I'm assuming Mayo makes the jump to the NBA after one season as everyone expects him to do. I don't think of Jefferson and Gibson as locks for the '07-'08 draft.


So are we moving forward and leaving Jennings out of our plans? With 14 scholarships players projected (maybe Miller will pay his own way?), it's something to keep in mind...
