Blackhawks Add Another USC Trojan to the Roster for 09

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (February 12, 2009) --

The Inglewood Blackhawks seem to keep their USC pipeline afloat as they have inked former USC Trojan fullback, Jody Adewale to play with the Blackhawks this upcoming season. The Blackhawks are trying to rejuvenate it's running game as it seem to fall by the wayside in 2008 as no running back had over 500 yards. The Blackhawks are returning all of it's 2008 running backs with the addition of a few more that are coming to camp. The Blackhawks are currently in talks with former El Camino College and Idaho Vandal running back, Brian Flowers. When you have an offensive line that averages 6'4 340 across, there's no way you shouldn't have a back over 1,000 yards. Ty Evans ran for over 1,600 yards in 2006 with a line of this magnitude. With a passing game that is tops in the nation, a potent running game will take this squad to heights it has never been. Jody played his prep ball at Roosevelt High School in Los Angeles before going to the Trojans. Jody is known for being one of the only fullbacks in high school to run for over 1,200 yards. In this day in time, you don't see fullbacks gain yards like that. But what Jody posses in strength, power, and speed. With Kori Dickerson already on the roster and the return of John Cousins, the Blackhawks will have three Trojans suited up for the 09 season. Jody also brings a winning attitude to an already winning organization which will ultimately be a great mix. Jody has a total of 4 championship rings with two of those being National Championships. USC Coach, Pete Carroll has said many great things about Jody and has given him high praise not only for his athleticism but his attitude as a player. The Blackhawks are excited to see Jody in action and look forward to great things from him in the upcoming season.
