Aug 24 - Romero won for the first time in four starts, allowing two runs and eight hits in six innings as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Los Angeles Angels 8-3 on Sunday.

Advice: Romero, who went to college at Cal State Fullerton, a short drive from Angels Stadium, moved into a tie with Tampa Bay's Jeff Niemann for the AL rookie lead with 11 wins. He had been chased after 3 2-3 innings, allowing six runs, in his last start.
