Lewis leads South East past Eagle Rock

Robert Lewis picked up where he left off last year by scoring three touchdowns, one on a kickoff return, to lead South East High School to a 35-0 victory over Eagle Rock Thursday in the season football opener for both schools.

Lewis, who rushed for 1,085 yards in 2009, carried 11 times for 109 yards and two scores. He took a kickoff back 82 yards for another TD.

Gilberto Rivera was 7-for-14 for 130 yards and a TD (to Samuel Encarnacion) through the air for the Jaguars.

Christopher Ochoa (11 for 59) and Juan Nevarez (four for 54) also had big games carrying the ball.

Jason Avendano had two interceptions and Malcolm Smith one to lead the defense.
