KNOX COUNTY BASKETBALL LEAGUE RULES
1. Season may begin December 1, 2018 and end February 23, 2019.
2. Practice will start any time after October 29, 2018 and will go for 12 weeks.
3. Coaching rosters and background checks must be turned in by Friday November 16, 2018. EVERYONE that wants to coach or be on the bench must pass a background check via www.ssci2000.com. NO EXCEPTIONS!
4. Team rosters along with all player paperwork must be turned in by Friday November 23, 2018
5. NO New Player Contracts will be accepted after December 1, 2018.
6. Any player or coach that is ejected from games will be suspended for the remainder of the game they were ejected from and one (1) full game. If ejected for a second time, he or she will be suspended the remainder of the season.
7. All teams must have numbers on their jerseys.
8. All-Star Tournament Dates will be February 18-23, 2019.
Age Group
· The age division in which your child participates is determined by their age on September 1, 2018. If your child is 6 on September 1, 2018 they will play in 6U. If your child is 7 on September 1, 2018 they will play in 8U.
Games
· Games will be played December 1-February 16, 2019.
· Games will be played at the locations requested by League Commissioners and approved by Knox Co. Community Facility Requests.
· No games will be played when Knox County Schools are closed.

Co-ed Rules
The following will be additional rules to co-ed in game play:
· One coach from each team is allowed on the court to assist players. After January 1, no coaches will be allowed on the court.
· Team fouls will be kept at scoring table and free throws will be awarded once teams reach the bonus.
· Each player will be rewarded a free throw at half time in order to score a point.
· Blatant walking and double dribble violations will be called. Referee will show leniency during the first 3 quarters.
· Player has 5 seconds to get the ball inside the arc once they cross half court. Once the ball has entered into the arc and leaves, players are allowed to come out of the arc to pressure the dribbler.
