We came out early to play....... our first friendly on the diamond since Nov of 2018......it was good for us, and as we took the field, our goal.....shake the rust, continue to grind, focus, and play one pitch at a time......after 5 pitches our lead off hitter hits line drive to center.....though it was caught, I knew we would be in for a good game.....11 hits followed along with 3 walks and 10 runs.....a great start......game two went much the same way......20 hits.....2 walks and 18 runs....normally we throttle off when we are up comfortably, but hearing we were getting lucky hits, wait what?????? Lucky happens when you don’t swing the bats, doubles, triples, 20 HITS isn’t LUCKY!!!!!! So good work girls, I didn’t throttle down, and game two was lots of fun.....last game of the day.....BELIEVE IT OR NOT, we were down 1-0 after first inning.....but one thing I take pride in is making sure girls compliment each other in their spot in the lineups.....I have explained in detail as to what their role is and why we attack certain pitchers that way we do....13 hits, 2 home runs, and 15 Sluggers crosses the plate in 1 inn.....that is good hitting, it doesn’t matter where you play, that is good hitting.....we throttled off, pushed only 2 more across, but finished in a mercy score....great practice run, but next weekend will be extremely competitive , we‘ll Take this, but work hard to be ready for next Sunday....job well done...cya on the diamond.....

This Team is our age group, we just rarely played them, we played older Team with Graduated Seniors and Juniors, so this was a big mis match, though they are our age...we get sticks, Tazz has 6 pitch AB with line drive to CF, we were out, but it set the tone.....Turtle 1b-Gemini 2b-Kandy HP- KFC 2b- TBird line drive to pitcher- Turbo 1b- Squinky reaches on dropped fly ball- Pep 1b-KoolAid walks, smoke clears, 6 runs across....the rest of the game was much the same, we came to hit, Tazz in the circle doing work, mercy finish.....

We started strong again, Tazz line drive 1b, we hit fielder's choice for out #1, Gemini-Kandy-KFC-Tbird hit consecutive 1bs...Squinky reaches on a bb, we scratch 3......we then coughed up 2 runs on two singles and an error, but we limited the damage and hang onto 1 run lead.....KoolAid then starts us again with line drive to left, Tazz follows with a line drive over CF for home run....Gemini 2bs and Kandy brings her home with a 1b to left, we get our 3 runs back......Turbo then has a 9 pitch inn and we are back in the dugout......then we had an inning......T Bird bbs. Squinky reaches on error, KoolAid hits 2b, Mariana hits a BOMB to left for a 2b(welcome to Lil SLuggers KID)....Tazz - Turtle - Gemini all 1b...Kandy gets hit(just keep the line moving)...KFC 1bs, T Bird 2bs, Turbo 1bs, Squinky bbs, Pep 2bs, KoolAid 1bs and we push 12 runs across....13 hits line drives, 2 hits fly balls, but all I heard was all we do is hit fly balls, they can be caught......hmmmm, sometimes I need to just ignore the noise and let the girls have fun, but I did take it personal that our girls were not given any credit, so YES, we kept the THROTTLE DOWN...something we never do, but this one felt good......Turbo and KFC kept them off the bases, and we again finished with another mercy, job well done.....

we came out and saw 6 pitches, all 3 batters were recorded out, their turn at the plate....they led off with a 1b to rt, bunt pushed runner to 2nd and 1 down.....a walk follows and we now have 1st and 3rd....foul pop up to Gemini at 3rd, really strong play...2 down.....another walk loads the bases.... 1b to right scores runner from 3rd, as runner from 2nd tries to score, Squinky gets ball to Turtle to Gemini to KoolAid for out number 3, we limited the damage, only 1 run across when it could have been bad.....our 2nd abs we came alive........Kandy hammered a 3b....KFC follows with a Home Run...T Bird bbs, Turbo 1bs, Squinky 2bs, Pep1bs, Mariana bbs, Tazz 2bs, Turtle and Gemini follow with 1bs...Kandy 2bs, KFC 1bs, T Bird 1bs, Turbo 1bs, and Squinky hits 243' BOMBASO!!!!! KoolAid 1bs, smoke still hasn't cleared, 15 runs, 14 hits, 2 bbs, 3 pitchers and only 36 pitches, meaning we were not missing on our swings, JOB WELL DONE!!!!!! our last abs, Mariana bbs, Tazz 1bs, Gemini2bs to finish our scoring, we were trying to get out, but our umpire not the sharpest......Mariana and Pep held it down in the circle, and though we didn't expect it, we finished our 3rd mercy of the day.....this was a good tune up for next weekend, as our Lil Sluggers Softball Academy will be facing Power House Travel Teams that will force us to be at our best, but I BELIEVE we can hold our own.....and yes, we will go with confidence that it can be done, let's do this.........
