Parent/Guardian and Athlete Code of Conduct
Holt JR Rams Football strives to provide a safe, fun learning environment for our youth football players. We will do our best to create an opportunity for all kids to work together as a team toward common goals. Our focus is on developing the athlete and teaching proper, safe football skills while having fun. We emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, responsibility, commitment and respect. Holt JR Rams Football will not tolerate verbal or physical abuse of its volunteer coaches, referees, or players from any Parent, Player, or Spectator.
The Holt JR Rams Board of Directors reserves the right to remove a player from the program due to a violation of the code of conduct by either the Athlete or a Parent/Guardian.
Athlete Code of Conduct
Your participation in the Holt Jr Rams Football program is a privilege and should be treated as such. While you are a member of a HJR Football team you are representing yourself, your team, your community and all of the people that wore that uniform before you. The expectations for you are high but not out of reach. Know that when you are a member of this team other students, teachers, coaches, parents and the community are observing your conduct.
The Holt Jr Rams Football board and coaching staff is here to teach and support each of you as you learn the game of football. It is our responsibility to keep you safe and make sure that you have fun. Your coaches will volunteer many hours of their time to teach you proper technique and the fundamentals of the game and for that you will promise them that:
1. I will always be a good teammate that will show support and never criticize others
2. I deserve to have fun during my football experience and will alert parents or coaches if it stops being fun.
3. I will always demonstrate good sportsmanship and respect for other players, coaches, officials, and parents.
4. I will do my best to listen and learn from my coaches.
5. I will attend every practice and game that I can and will notify my coach if I cannot.
6. I understand that although there is a minimum I will earn my playing time in practice
7. I will do my best in school and understand that school will always come before sports.
8. I will not use profanity or taunt others.
9. I will never purposely engage in an act to physically hurt another.
10.I will always do my best to practice and play the game of football within the rules.
11.I will respect, protect and maintain my equipment. This includes remembering to bring and wear all equipment at all practices and games
12.I understand that bullying a teammate either on or off of the field is unacceptable and may result in expulsion from the team.
