BPSPA Team Rules

* #1 Rule is to HAVE FUN!

* Practice time is as important as game time, be focused and give 100%

* There is NO guarantee of set playing time whether being at bats or defensively in a game. The roster is set based on what the needs are to compete

* NO cell phones allowed during practice and games-NO EXCEPTIONS

~DO NOT have your cell phones audible or visible in the dugout

if you need to get in touch with someone (speak to your coach)

*Games and Practices are MANDATORY - if you need to miss, discuss this with the coach

~VARSITY Practice: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

~JV Practice: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday

*Excused absences but not in entirety:

           Required school activity

           Injury/illness (Dr. Appointment)

           Family Emergency

*Do not leave the dugout during games and practices (speak to coach if you need to leave)

*There will be NO talking back to umpires OR coaches-there is ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for fighting

*Leave the attitudes at home, they do not belong on the field

*Treat your fellow teammates with RESPECT AT ALL TIMES

*Any concerns or issues with a game or playing situation will be addressed the day AFTER the game. The coaches will not allow discussion to delay or lengthen practice or game time so schedule appropriately- The BPSPA Board requires a 24 hour cooling off period for discussions.

You are responsible for following all rules and guidelines that the school sets forth as a student athlete. This includes, but not limited to academic and attendance requirements. In the event of disciplinary action at school, game time punishment may be sanctioned.

Remember every player and role is critical to our success. This again may mean that you will only play partial time-field only-bat only- or sit an entire game(s). You represent Bethel Park and it is a privlege to make the team.

If any team rules are broken potential repercussions could be as follows:

~1st time offense = 1 game suspension

~2nd offense = Suspension for that week's double header

~3rd offense = Could result in your permanent removal from the team
