Welcome back LADIES...6 weeks since our last games, and only 4 practices to get ready to play vs the "Big Dawgs"....one thing I always have confidence in---- YOU GIRLS WILL HIT....and boy did we ever!!!!!  Our goal as a team has always been, get better every time we step on the field, improve your game, and leave it all between the lines, this weekend was NO DIFFERENT!!!!! We put up 14 runs vs the American Pastime Academy while chasing 2 pitchers....we put up 20 runs vs the Klutch Academy, while chasing 2 pitchers....and the most satisfying issue overall, Pitching Coach for Renegades asked me if we could lend them pitchers if they couldn't finish the game, down 6-1 and scoring 7 runs with 7 consecutive hits, Coach came to me and said his pitcher couldn't go anymore.....I told him I would quit keeping score and send out pitchers to help him out, we went up 8-6 bottom 3rd when they waived the white flag....our pitcher then went out there and got the next 3 batters out for them........so it was rewarding for myself as a Coach and Parent to see you girls play well after such a long break........there is a reason we don't play games in the Valley, the competition is much stronger outside the Valley, and we can always make our game better by playing away from home, this weekend was no different, we came and played at a high level, and we continue to grow.....job well done ladies....welcome back Beetle, and cya on the diamond...............

Vs American Pastime

we lose the flip, and we are on the field.....Joy was locating her pitches, we were making plays.....we bobbled 2 plays on the field and it cost us a run, but we limited the damage....Tazz-Turtle-KRC-TBird=Turbo all reached base and quickly we were up 2-1 after 1st......the lone run in the first was all the Pastime crew would put up against us, we on the other hand, we came to play......13  hits and 2 walks later, we notched 12 more runs.....smoke cleared, the good gals finished on a positive note...

we got sticks, and went to work........Tazz 3b-Turtle 1b- KFC 1b- T Bird HP- Turbo 2b- Pep 1b/ Squinky HP- KoolAid 2b- Beetle HP- Tazz bb, 13 batters and we push 7 across.....Tazz Beetle and Pep took the rock for the next 4 inn, only 2 runs allowed,you girls played so well, Their Asst Coach started to complain and let Coach Marcus know he wants to play us again, he can beat us.....I'm sure he will come with a different roster, as we continued to hit, continued to run, continued to score to the tune of 20 runs in 4 inn....by the way, I turned you girls loose so you would have Lil Marcus' back, none of us need to hear from other Coaches, but you girls were allowed to do your thing, even though I was ready to pull the plug after the first inn........we hit the ball hard, and this is one of those times that fences on the field would have served other team well, the gaps we hit kept the ball rolling all game long..........another job well done........

vs Renegades

this was the team we were looking forward to play after watching other games during the day......we lost the flip, and immediately went down 4 runs in the first, we punched back, 3 hits allowed us to scratch a run, but biggest thing i took away, we can hit this high level pitcher......between Tazz and Joy we only allowed 2 more runs in the next 3 inn, we were down 6-1 and then it happened, they flinched, and we put up 7 runs with 9 batters.....up 8-6, their Pitcher and Coach tapped out, they could no longer pitch, so they asked if they could borrow our "Pitchers"......game over, 8-6 Lil Sluggers....BUT THEN I MADE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF THE DAY!!!!!! After their Coach asked to borrow our pitchers, I came and told the girls, "Game is in the books, it's over, we are just finishing out the clock......our numbers are done in the book, our pitchers are now going to finish the game...our pitcher only threw to 8 batters, and only allowed 1 hit and zero runs....but our defense is where we took the game for granted, we threw the ball all over the field, we didn't prepare to make a play every pitch, and we looked SLOPPY on defense the last two inn..............we walked away with an 8-6 game, and I will NEVER EVER TELL YOU GIRLS THE GAME DOESN'T COUNT AGAIN.... THAT WAS MY BAD......ALWAYS MAKE EVERY PLAY TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITY, NO MATTER WHAT COACH SAYS!!!!!!!!
