GGSA Donation & Sponsorship Opportunities

GGSA Donation and Sponsorship Opportunities

Interested in making a donation or sponsoring a GGSA team, the organization, or Stebbins Field in some way but don't know exactly how to make a contribution?  The Greenville Girls Softball Association is a 501 (3)(C) Non-Profit Organization which means your charitable donations are tax deductible.  The Greenville Girls Softball Association and Stebbins Field is a private organization which means GGSA has never used tax dollars for any purchase or upgrade though the years.  It is a testiment to the dedication of the Greenville Community and the countless volunteers that have given of their time throughout the years to make GGSA what it is today.

All donations go directly towards upgrades at Stebbins Field and/or general GGSA operating expenses.  Many additional improvements are in the works at Stebbins Field and will take many years to complete.  This includes possibly two additional fields, lights on diamonds #3 & #4, parking lot expansion, batting cage completion, and continuous maintenance on existing fields, and maintenance and upgrading of field equipment at Stebbins Field.

The Greenville Girls Softball Association, Inc. is a great part of the Greenville community and has been totally funded for over 40 years by the hard work and dedication of countless volunteers and their annual fundraising events as well as donations and contributions by local business' and individuals.  Without all of these people throughout the years Stebbins Field and the Greenville Girls Softball Association would not be what it is today.

To keep GGSA and Stebbins Field going, this work that has been passed down through the years has to continue.  We should and can be proud of what The Greenville Girls Softball Association and Stebbins Field has become.  It is a true statement by the Greenville Community that with hard work, dedidication, and committment good things can happen within our community. And for that, all at the Greenville Girls Softball Association, past, present, and future would like to "Thank You" in advance for your contribution.

No donation is too big or too small.  The Greenville Girls Softball Association has had a great first 40 years and we are looking forward to the next 40 years.  What we do today can and will have great affect on future generations!!!  Let's do what we can to make things happen at Stebbins Field!!!

Here's a look at some of the possibilities:

1. Team Sponsorship - All GGSA teams are sponsored by a local business.  In 2015, GGSA had over 30 teams competing within the organization.  Rates vary from $200-$300 for slow-pitch and fast-pitch teams.  All-Star Team sponsorships vary depending on the type of schedule each team play.  Sponsorship includes t-shirts with the business logo and colored t-shirt requested by the team sponsor.  All players and coaches wear these shirts as uniforms throughout the season and also keep the t-shirts for personal use once the season has completed.  It's a great way to advertise your business!!!

2. Sign Sponsorship - GGSA offers local business' the opportunity to advertise at Stebbins Field.  The 4 x 8 billboards are placed on the outfield fences.  Special rates apply to billboards placed facing St. Rt. 49.  The billboards are made based on advertisers wants and needs.  Rates are $600.00 for a 3-year contract for signs placed on the outfield fence.  Advertisers who want their billboard facing St. Rt. 49 are at a rate of $800.00 per 3-years.

3. Improvement Donation - Monetary donations specifically for improvements.  If you would like to make a donation to help with improving Stebbins Field but would like to keep this seperate from the general operating expenses, we would be happy to make this happen.  Just let us know when you're making your donation, no matter how big or small.

4. General Donation - General donations include all monetary donations towards the organization as a whole which can be used for improvements or operating expenses.  It takes a lot to make GGSA work.  Many unseen expenses occur every season including, mortgage, insurance, water, electric, softball equipment, mowing and maintenance repairs, etc. etc.  The organization has to maintain all of this as well as operate a healthy and fun softball league.

5. Volunteerism - If you aren't in position to help out by making a monetary donation, volunteerism may be the answer for you.  GGSA is constantly looking for good volunteers.  All GGSA officers and trustees are volunteers and a lot is expected of them every year.  You do not have to be an officer or trustee to help out at the ballpark.  If you are able to help with anything, please feel free to let any of the our officers or trustees know.

It can be for anything.  Help in the concession stand on a tournament weekend, help with fixing something you see that may need fixing.  Help with fundraising events or opportunities which include chicken dinner sales, Opening Day, golf outing, fall league, field prep and maintenance throughout the season, trash pick up, restroom cleaning...etc..etc.  We are all volunteers and anyone who is willing to help should just ask.

6. Labor Volunteerism - If you have a special trade or business that might be able to help out at the ballpark and you are willing to donate some time to GGSA, please let us know.  The community and you will benefit from your donation.  Many local business' have donated time to make GGSA what it is today.

7. Trusts and Grants - GGSA is constantly looking for possible Trust and Grant Donors.  While we are working with many area trusts, we do not always know how to make contact with possible donors.  If you know of any that we would be eligible for, please contact any GGSA officer or trustee.
