10ft half circle in front of home plate is foul territory. Ball must reach outside of the semi-circle to be a fair ball. If ball does not reach outside of semicircle ball is counted foul and included in the pitch count.
No advancing bases on any overthrows
Chalked lines halfway between each base to identify where the shortstop and second base positions are to be played from.
Coaches on the field during defensive play should remain on the grass during play and no more than 2 coaches are allowed on the field while on defense.
When ball is put in play and the umpire calls the play dead, the hashmarks will be used by the umpire to determine if the runner is more than halfway to the next base. If the runner is past the hashmark when the play is called dead by the umpire, then the runner will be awarded the next base after the hashmark. If the runner was not halfway when the play was called dead by the umpire, the runner must return to the previous base.
The umpire has final call on all plays. It is the responsibility of the head coach to keep their team’s parents and spectators in order. In no way should the parents question any calls or make any derogatory comments to the umpires or other team’s players or coaches.
If your team’s parents are deemed in anyway of engaging in unsportsmanlike behavior as deemed by the umpire or any KPRA Board Member, they will be asked to leave the park and the head coach may be ejected from the game as well.
