This background checks includes the following:

• Child Abuse History Clearance 
• PA State Criminal Background Check if you HAVE lived in PA for the past 10+ years (cost of ~$10)
• Federal Criminal Background Check if you HAVE NOT lived in PA for the past 10 years (cost of ~$25 and includes getting fingerprints)

Act 153 of 2014 requires each volunteer to have all criminal background clearances and to update these clearances on a three-year and five-year cycle. The PA Criminal history is free for volunteers and the Child Abuse is free for those who have not done one in 5 years.  Fees may apply.
