The Wolfpack lost their first league game to Lobos FC (Wausau) by the score of 4-1. The Pack dominated shots on the night but came out flat and let in 3 goals by the 30th minute of the game. In the 41st minute, goalkeeper Cole Bergman received a red card for dissent, forcing the Wolfpack to play with only 10 players for the remainder of the game. Sebastian Paczuski, a starting Right Back, came into the game and saved a penalty shot. In the second half, Lobos FC scored on a Penalty Kick in the 53rd minute. After this goal, Lobos FC didn’t register another shot on goal but Hayward only found the back of the net once, With Carson Gorecki scoring off of a feed from Ethan Wolfe. The Wolfpack outshot Lobos 14-8 on the night.
The game on July 1st in Duluth has been postponed, so the Wolfpack will be back in action on July 12th at 6pm in Barron as they take on FC Midnimo.
