Hayward United dropped 3 points in a heartbreaking loss to Barron Soccer Team on Sunday evening. The Bears opened the scoring in the 42nd minute when they earned a Penalty Kick. The Wolfpack tied up the game when Kaden Bergman ripped a shot from outside the box, Ethan Wolfe’s rebound shot was saved and Nik Nordquist slotted home the loose ball. The game went back and forth until Barron scored again on a corner kick in the 81st minute. Hayward immediately tied the game in the 83rd when Nik Nordquist beat a few defenders and slotted a perfect backdoor ball to Marshall Kennell, who beat his defender and put the ball in. The Pack then lost the game on an own goal in the 90+1 minute off of a free kick.
