Hayward United added a win against non-league opponent Hibbing United on Saturday. The Wplfpack opened up the scoring when Nik Nordquist finished off a through ball given by Kaden Bergman in the 10th minute. Bergman doubled the lead when he chipped the goalkeeper off a Durim Camili through ball. Bergman scores a brace before halftime when he got hold of a rebound and gave the Pack a 3-0 lead into halftime. Hayward went up 4-0 when Jacob Johnson pokes in a backdoor feed put in by Nordquist. Hibbing would score late in the game, finishing a 4-1 win for the Wolfpack.

 

Hayward then travelled to Merrill, WI to take on WPASL league foe, Lobos FC. The game was scoreless until the 59th minute when Lobos scored 5 goals in the last half hour to win the game 5-0. Manager Kaden Bergman stated, “That’s just one we need to forget about. Bounces and chances didn’t go our way and our touches were poor. We’ll bounce back with 2 home games this upcoming weekend”.

 

The Wolfpack will play two games at home as they face FC Midnimo (Barron) on Saturday and St Croix Valley on Sunday. Both games will be played at 4pm at the Hayward Soccer Complex, located north of Hayward on HWY 63.
