Players Eligible: Students, boys and girls attending a Pine-Richland school, homeschool, or another school that does not have an inline hockey team. All experience levels welcome!
· High School – grades 9-12
· Middle School – grades 6-8
· Elementary – grades 2-5 (may be a combined team with students from several districts)
2022-2023 Season: Teams play in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Roller Hockey League against other local school teams. The regular season consists of 18 games, beginning in mid-September 2022 and running through February 2023. Games are typically held on Saturday or Sunday. Playoffs begin in February 2023.
Game Locations: Games will be played at local inline rinks:
· Island Sports Center on Neville Island (RMU)
· Bridgeville Rollerplex in Bridgeville
· Hot Shots Rink in New Stanton
· Murrysville Sportzone
Practices: Practices will be held once a week at either RMU Neville Island or Family Sports Center in Butler. Dates and times TBD.
Equipment: All players must have the following equipment:
· Hockey helmet with cage and chin strap
· Indoor roller blades (no brakes or street skates)
· Hockey stick
· Hockey gloves
· Elbow pads
· Shin guards
· Mouth guard
· A padded girdle with cup is recommended
· Black inline hockey pants (players have the option to order uniform pants)
Player Fees: TBD
Estimated range for High School - $600-750
Estimated fee range for Middle school and Elementary - $500-$600
Jersey/Pants Fees: Players on all high school and middle school teams are required to have matching jerseys and pants. Estimated fees are $100 for a set of two home/away jerseys and $50 for pants.
Goalie Fees: Goaltenders play for free if they provide their own equipment. PRIHA does own some goalie equipment that can be allocated to players in need of goalie equipment for a fee. Goalies will need to purchase uniform jerseys.
