Make a determination on the field either the night before or early morning (at least 2 hours before Game Time).
- Common Courtesy = If you are in charge of the field and making the call on the rain out call the opposing manager the night before the game - have a game plan!
- Common Courtesy = Get to the field 2 hours before the game Time.
If canceled a text and email needs to be sent to John Gallante and I stating example: Cherry Hill Babe Ruth canceled, nothing else not teams involved, not pictures only the field.
- Common Courtesy = If your game is canceled chances are many games are canceled. Our umpire coordinator doesn't need continued conversation through a team text Broadcast. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO TEXT OR EMAIL LOU & GALANTE CANCELLATION. We don't need pictures of the field. We don't need to know the teams that are playing. All's we need is the field name and canceled. Please spare us the commentary -
If umpires show at the field (& game is NOT played) your team is responsible for paying (SINGLE GAME) one umpire $50 or $75 for a scheduled Doubleheader.
Understand when it is a rainout morning there is a lot of confusion please stick to these procedures and make sure both John johngallante@hotmail.com 856-994-4400 and I lmarshall@unfi.com 856-266-7916 are both copied on all things including postponements, time request changes, and venue changes, keep it short just the fields, no long text messages and rescheduling thoughts.
