Oceanside- The San Diego Force sweep the series against the California Jays to put themselves in the Championship Series. Multiple Force pitchers combined for a shutout of the Jays. In the second game of the series, the California Jays failed to score while the Force put up 11 runs.
The first two innings went scoreless until the third inning where the California Jays had many errors which brought #25 Alec Arnone and #12 Gabe Jones to the plate where they both tallied RBI walks. The Force scored two more runs in the inning.
After one more run in the fourth, the force had runners in scoring position yet again in the fifth. #7 Jack Early hit a deep sac fly to score another. After five innings played the score was six to zero. The Force kept finding ways on base and scored five runs combined in the sixth and the seventh.
The Force relief pitchers came into the game and the California Jays were pushed out of the playoffs. The Force now have a new task on their hand in the Championship Series against the Grind.
