** Lettermen Jackets – UPDATE information from the athletic department: We originally had a date set of today, 10/20, for the Josten's representative to come to fit for varsity jackets. Josten's needed to change the date based on a health issue so we have scheduled next Thursday, 10/28, as the date for them to come. They will be here during the 3 lunch times, approximately 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon. They will have sample jackets for fitting purposes and all jackets ordered must be paid for at the time they are ordered. There had been some confusion last week with the students because Josten's did come early this week to meet with seniors and sophomores to discuss graduation announcement orders and class ring orders. Feel free to contact me (Sandy Perry) if there are any other questions/concerns. Sandy Perry, Athletic Department Secretary @ 724-327-5456 X5013.
****IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT REGARDING MASK MANDATE*****
Girls Volleyball will now require all fans attending to wear a mask in the gym. We are not currently limiting seating. Coaches and players NOT in the game must be masked up on the bench, in the locker room and at all other times while indoors.
· When an individual is either engaging in activity that cannot be performed while wearing a mask such as eating, drinking, or playing an instrument or participating in high intensity aerobic activities, including during physical education class, and is able to maintain a physical distance of 6 feet from all other individuals;
· Notably, students who are participating in sporting events or practices, whether indoors or outdoors, are exempted from wearing a mask.
Those teams that are using the weight room are not required to wear masks while actively lifting. Your team should still have a mask on while not lifting and when moving about the building.
ALL teams must continue to be masked up on the school bus at all times. There should not be any eating on the bus. Our players will be eating prior to transport.
This is also your reminder that all coaches, and student-athletes need to do a self-assessment daily before coming to school.
