CAPITAL DISTRICT 11-12 SENIOR BASKETBALL TO ROCK AGAIN THIS SEASON

 

CAPITAL DISTRICT 11-12 SENIOR LEAGUE RETURNS WITH 8 AREA TEAMS TO BATTLE IN SMALLER, BUT HIGHLY COMPETITIVE LEAGUE

 

THE CAPITAL DISTRICT 11-12 SENIOR BASKETBALL LEAGUE IS RETURNING FOR THE 2021-2022 SEASON WITH A TOTAL OF 8 TEAMS.

THE LEAGUE HAS TWO TEAMS FROM CLIFTON PARK, TWO FROM THE GREATER TROY AREA, TWO FROM AVERILL PARK, A TEAM FROM ST. CLEMENTS IN SARATOGA AND A TEAM FROM BETHLEHEM.

THE MAJORITY OF GAMES WILL BE PLAYED AT A CENTRALIZED SITE, ONE THAT IS FAMILIAR TO ALL SENIOR LEAGUE PLAYERS -- SHEN HIGH SCHOOL EAST. SHEN HIGH SCHOOL EAST HAS HOSTED MANY A SENIOR GAME OVER THE LAST DOZEN OR SO SEASONS. THIS YEAR, IT WILL SERVE AS A CENTRALIZED HUB FOR GAMES ON SUNDAY NIGHTS FOR THE CAPITAL DISTRICT 11-12 SENIOR LEAGUE.

OTHER VENUES THAT WILL HOST GAMES INCLUDE ST. CLEMENTS IN SARATOGA AND ALGONQUIN MIDDLE SCHOOL IN AVERALL PARK.

THE REGULAR SEASON STARTS ON THE WEEKEND OF DEC. 4-5. EACH TEAM WILL PLAY THE OTHER 7 TEAMS TWICE FOR A 14 REGULAR-SEASON.

PLANS ARE ALSO IN THE MAKING FOR POST-SEASON PLAYOFFS. AS ALWAYS, ALL CAPITAL DISTRCIT 11-12 SENIOR LEAGUE TEAMS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR POST-SEASON PLAY.
