For USA Hockey Sanctioned Tournaments - YES. River Cup Hockey must be in receipt of a certified, stamped or signed USA Hockey roster two weeks before the start date of the event. Teams will not be permitted to step onto the ice without receipt of this documentation.
Any player that is not on a USA Hockey Approved Roster, that has played in any games, will be subject to forfeiture of games played, or removal from playoffs/championship.
For non-USA Hockey Sanctioned events - NO
When is payment due?
- A $500 deposit must be made within 30 days of registering for a tournament.
- Full payment is required 30 days prior to the tournament or your team will be subject to replacement.
- Payments are accepted via Check or Venmo (@bruce-kocenski).
(Non-Covid) Adult and Youth Tournament Cancellation/Refund Policies:
There is a $100 non-refundable administration fee on any cancellation
- 60 days or more: 100% refund - Less Admin Fee
- 30 to 59 days: 50% refund
- Less than 30 days: 0% refund
COVID-19 Cancellation Policy:
Any River Cup Hockey event that is CANCELLED due to COVID-19, all teams registered to play will receive a full refund of all registration fees paid. River Cup Hockey’s decision to cancel an event will be based on directions from local public health officials and/or Local, State or Federal guidance.
- Team cancellation (30 days or more) - River Cup Hockey will provide that team with a full refund.
- Team cancellation (within 15-29 days) - River Cup Hockey will provide that team with a credit for the full amount of the registration fee that can be used towards a future River Cup Hockey event.
- Team cancellation (Less than 15 days) - River Cup Hockey will provide that team with a credit of the registration fee that can be used towards a future River Cup Hockey event, less a $250 administraion fee to cover tournament expenses.
Any Refunds based on the above criteria - will be paid via the same means of payment. Refunds will be processed within 2 weeks of the cancelation
Can we make scheduling requests?
Requests must be submitted 4 weeks before the event start date. Requests must come from a team manager or coach. Please note that submitting a request does not guarantee your request will be met. To a schedule a request please email Bruce Kocenski (rivercuphockey@outlook.com)
Return Check Policy?
Checks returned by the bank for any reason are subject to a $50 Administration fee.
