Mt Vernon Power has recently signed the 6 ft 5 in, 225lb Forward Charles Doss. Charles was born in Fitchburg, Mass. to Louvella Dobson and Charles Doss. He graduated from the Fitchburg High school back in 2013 where he played on both the basketball and football teams. Charles’s collegiate career began at Mount Wachusett Community College.  Charles transferred to Fitchburg State before the start of the 2017 season. During Charles’s first season with Fitchburg State, he totaled 92 points on 39 of 102 shooting, 73 rebounds, 8 assists, 7 steals and 13 blocks. In the 26 games he played during the 2018-2019 season, he started in 11 of them. He racked up 150 points on 63 for 129 shooting, 20 assists, 8 steals and 9 blocks. Mt Vernon would surely be able to utilize Charles’s frame in order to crash the defensive and offensive boards. Charles also showed that he’s a willing passer which will be a welcome site to further Mt Vernon’s high powered offense. Charles is also no slouch on defense when it comes to disrupting the opposing team’s offense with a solid number of blocks and steals during his two seasons with Fitchburg State. We’ll all be looking forward to see what else Charles Doss will be able to bring to the Mt Vernon Power for the rest of the season.
