A couple of months ago, it was announced that Stephen Cross would join the team before this season's World Series. The signing has not been confirmed. Just yesterday, while Evan was recovering from appendicitis surgery, a rumor surfaced in the league that he was very interested in joining the team. The Athletics will face the Mariners in the Wild Card Series in Season 4.
