Rookie: Local Rule for Season Games: One hour thirty-minute time limit

Playing Field:

A. RULE STATES: There shall be a chalked has line ½ distance between first and second base. This line shall determine whether a player may advance to the next base or return to the previous base

LOCAL RULE Chalked ½ way line will not be used during regular season. Judgement call with field umpire regarding runner position on advancement of next base or return to previous base

Playing Rules 8U:

Must have 9 players to start and game time is start time. Forfeit if not enough players.

4. RULE STATES Once a team becomes mathematically eliminated, the game shall end.

LOCAL RULE Team that is losing may score runs equal to catching up plus 5 more runs per inning. Therefore, the mercy rule will be 12 runs after 4 innings

7. An eight foot radius circle is to be drawn around pitching plate. Defensive pitcher, with both feet in the circle, must remain inside circle even or behind pitching rubber until the batter contacts the ball.

16. The coach who is pitching must stay in contact with the pitching rubber until the ball is released and once the ball is released the coach/pitcher cannot be involved in coaching until time is called.  The Adult pitcher should only communicate with the batter before the ball is put in play.

Minor/Major: Local Rule for Season Games: One Hour Forty-Five-minute Time limit

Playing Rules: No change in substitution rules-Rules C, D, E remain as stands under 10U Playing Rules

J. Umpires will continue to call out runners leaving base early (prior to the ball reaching the plate).

L. Mandatory play rules- all players must have 1 at bat and 3 defensive outs per game. Only exceptions are unless shortened by the run rule OR less plate appearances occur during the game than # of players on roster. i.e. Team A has 14 players on lineup card and the games ends after 14 or more plate appearances and any sub did not bat the game is ruled a forfeit. Penatly: Forfeit AND Child who didn’t get in must start next game and play at least the first 2 defensive innings and is guaranteed at least 1 at bat. In addition to the penalty above, IF the winning team run rules the other team and all players didn’t not get in mandatory play time the Head coach must sit out next game.

Regulation game: A. 12U games shall be 6 innings unless shortened or lengthened legally. If the score is tied at the end of six inning, it shall be continue until verdict reached.

a. LOCAL RULE FOR REGULAR SEASON: 1 extra inning of international tie breaker rules will be enforced. Bases loaded, 1 out. If still tied after 1 extra inning the game will end in a tie.

Pitching Rules: As stated in book this applies to both local and tournament play and cannot be waived or changed.
